Representation Meets Traditional Tarot
Mahogany Tarot reimagines the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith tarot through shades of mahogany.
The deck features the classic tarot imagery originally illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith under the direction of Arthur Edward Waite, alongside additional artwork by creator Kasheera Hickson portraying Black and Brown people of the African and Indigenous diaspora.
The additional artwork remains true to the familiar symbolism and structure of the traditional tarot while creating beautiful representation for readers who have historically seen themselves underrepresented within tarot imagery.
What's New in the Third Edition?
The Third Edition introduces an entirely redesigned luxury presentation while preserving the Mahogany Tarot deck readers already know and love.
The new edition features metallic gold gilded card edges, reflective gold foil card backs, and a redesigned mahogany tuck box adorned with gold foil detailing.

About the Creator
Kasheera Hickson is an artist and tarot reader who became inspired while learning tarot to reimagine the Rider-Waite-Smith deck in shades of mahogany.
Mahogany Tarot was created as a “mahogany twin” to the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith deck, allowing readers to experience familiar tarot imagery while seeing Black and Brown people reflected within it.
Mahogany Tarot is a Black-owned, family-owned small business based in Los Angeles, California.
