PREORDER – Black Mahogany Tarot de Marseille | Black Tarot Deck

SHIPS NOVEMBER 2026

A fresh interpretation of the historic Tarot de Marseille, reimagined through the bold, expressive, and culturally rich world of Mahogany Tarot.

This 78-card deck honors the unmistakable character and symbolism of Marseille-inspired tarot while bringing the imagery to life through richly illustrated scenes featuring Black people across a range of skin tones, hairstyles, and appearances. Independently conceived, art-directed, and refined by Mahogany Tarot using a combination of digital illustration tools and hands-on editing, each card was individually developed to create a cohesive reimagining of this historic tarot tradition.

Unlike traditional Tarot de Marseille decks, which typically feature non-scenic pip cards throughout the Minor Arcana, Mahogany Tarot: Tarot de Marseille features fully illustrated Minor Arcana. This visual storytelling makes the deck approachable for readers accustomed to illustrated tarot systems while retaining its Marseille influence.

This edition features English card titles, classic Roman numeral numbering, richly saturated vintage-inspired artwork, and an ornate floral-and-star card back. Every card reflects Mahogany Tarot’s commitment to creating tarot imagery in which Black people are represented throughout the deck.
